Minister of Youth and Sports said Monday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is following up weekly the projects which are under construction in the New Administrative Capital.
At a press conference held on Monday at the site of the Sports City in the New Administrative Capital, the minister said the city will be operational in 2018 and it will be mostly completed within one and half a year.
The city will be established through cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the Armed Forces Engineering Authority on an area of 93 feddans with an initial cost of up to 500 to 600 million pounds to be paid from the ministry's budget.
The minister said the new city will be ready to host international competitions in 2021 to send a message to the whole world from Egypt's new capital on its readiness to organize world sport events
