Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid Bin Daghr and his accompanying delegation paid a visit today to Bahrain National Museum on the sidelines of their official visit to Bahrain.
Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa, Yemeni Ambassador to Bahrain Ali Hassan Al Ahmedi and officials were also present.
The Yemeni Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA)’s Museums Director Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa who hailed the visit, lauding strong relations between the two brotherly countries.
The Yemeni delegation got informed about the museum’s sections which contain a collection of important historic artefacts depicting the Bahraini rich heritage. They expressed appreciation of the museum’s content, lauding the role of BACA in maintaining the national identity and highlighting Bahrain’s historic and civilisational value.
It is worthy to note that Yemen is present in Bahrain’s cultural scene with many functions the most recent of which was during the 9th edition of Bahrain Summer Festival from July 7 to August 7. Many artistic shows were held in cooperation between BACA and the Yemeni embassy in Bahrain.
