US Wrestler John Cena (R)
Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

US Wrestler John Cena has made the wish of two children, Rami and Ali, come true through the international wrestling championship that was hosted in Abu Dhabi lately.
The wrestler and the two children who came especially to meet him in Abu Dhabi, exchanged talks about free wrestling, his beginnings, and his special training. They also expressed their passion of the sport that is very popular across the globe.
Cena also gave the two children shirts and caps which he had signed for them as souvenirs.
Ali, who is from Bahrain and suffers from brain cancer and leukaemia, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Make a Wish Foundation that was keen to arrange the entire trip from Bahrain to achieve his dream of meeting Cena.
Rami, from Jordan who suffers from a fibrous tumour, said he was very happy to have met the wrestler, talk to him and attend his spectacular performance that was made possible by the foundation.
Since 2010, the UAE chapter of the Foundation has granted over 700 wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions and has brought joy and enrichment to many families through its impressive and dedicated work. The most popular wish category in the UAE is "I wish to have…” with many children wishing for the latest technological devices such as iPads, laptops and PlayStations.
Currently, within the UAE there are an estimated 1,200 children (aged 3-18) living with a life-threatening medical condition. All wishes granted by Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE are for the children of the UAE — Emiratis and expatriates alike, who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition by UAE practitioners.
The number of wishes fulfilled by the foundation during 2014 was 427 for children belonging to 23 nationalities from countries across the world and is considered the highest percentage achieved by the foundation during the past ten years or longer.
