The UAE Consul-General to the Chinese city of Guangzhou, Rahma bin Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, has attended a forum which was hosted by Ma Xingrui, Governor of South China's Guangdong province, in which a number of heads of missions from foreign states to the Guangzhou provincial government participated.
During the meeting, Ma Xingrui presented the latest economic developments in Guangdong and reaffirmed his provincial government's keenness to seek more open relations with the outside world, speaking about its active participation in the "Belt and Road" initiative. He also stressed the important role that local consular missions play in bridging the province with the rest of the world.
On the sidelines of the form, Al Shamsi reaffirmed the UAE's keenness in further enhancing the mutual distinguished relations that it enjoys with China in general, and with Guangdong in particular.
