Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will tomorrow start a two-day official visit to Iraq and hold talks with senior officials on bilateral relations and topics of mutual concern, particularly the energy issue and latest developments in Iraq and the region.
Counter-terrorism and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant "Daesh" are expected to top the talks between the two sides. Sources close to Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu affirmed Turkey’s stance on combating Daesh, stressing the necessity of adopting a comprehensive strategy and tackling the causes which brought forth the terrorist group.
