Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu arrived here today on a one-day visit described as a “working and friendship visit”. A statement issued by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry said the visit came in the context of the Tunisia’s celebrations marking the endorsement of the constitution and the strengthening of bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual concern.During the visit Davutoglu will meet with Interim President Moncef Marzouki of Tunisia, Speaker of the National Constituent Assembly Mustapha Ben Jafar, Prime Minister Mahdi Juma’ah and Foreign Minister Munju Hamdi to discuss relations of cooperation between the two countries and prospects of developing them especially in the economic and trade sectors, as well as a host of regional and international matters of mutual concern.Davutoglu visit is his second since 14 January 2011, date of the revolution that toppled the regime of deposed president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
