The government’s human rights coordinator Basel Tarawneh discussed with officials in the Danish capital Copenhagen means to boost cooperation in the human rights field.
Tarawneh told Petra on Saturday that he met during a visit to Copenhagen with Eva Grambye, Deputy Executive Director of the Danish Institute for Human Rights, other officials as well as Danish experts and discussed with them ways of supporting Jordan in areas related to government coordination on human rights.
He said the institute’s officials praised Jordan’s role under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in hosting Syrian refugees as well as the Kingdom’s continuous endeavors to enhance the status of human rights.
During the visit, Tarawneh outlined major accomplishments and reforms that have been made by Jordan in supporting the rule of law, developing legislation and achieving justice and integrity.
