Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader al-Halqi is to pay an official visit to Iran on Tuesday to consult with the country's senior officials about the latest developments in the region, and pave the ground for the further expansion of relations between Tehran and Damascus.
Al-Halqi paid two other officials visits to Iran in December and August 2013.
The Syrian premier, during his upcoming stay in Iran, is to hold separate meetings with the country's officials.
Earlier this month, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem was in Iran on expansion of ties and exploring new avenues for promotion of cooperation.
Iran, on many occasions, has voiced its full support for peaceful settlements of nearly 4-year-long crisis in Syria.
Tehran has also said it is ready to participate in reconstruction of infrastructures of Syria's war-torn areas.
