H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Monday attended the Sharjah Police's Golden Jubilee celebrations in Sharjah Fort.
H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.
The celebrations began with the national anthem, followed by recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a panoramic show illustrating the evolution of the concept of security in Sharjah throughout the various historical stages.
Brigadier Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, delivered a welcoming speech in which he spoke about Sharjah Police's march over 5 decades and how the force could maintain security and stability and protect the society and property, thanks to H.H. Sheikh Sultan's limitless support and kind patronage.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan honoured the commanders and officers of the first generation, who witnessed the establishment of the Sharjah Police Force, totalling 21 officers, and the successive directors general of Sharjah Police. The main and supporting sponsors of Sharjah Police's Golden Jubilee were also honoured.
As a gesture of gratitude to his kind support and patronage of Sharjah Police's march, H.H. Sheikh Sultan received a commemorative gift in the shape of Sharjah Fort from Brigadier Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police
