A delegation from the National Assembly of Sudan, led by Head of the Bahraini-Sudanese Parliamentary Brotherhood Society Mohammed Ahmed Wada’atallah, paid a visit to the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) and got informed about Bahrain’s experience in women’s empowerment.
They met with SCW Administrative and Media Affairs Director General Ezzedine Khalil Al Moayed who spotlighted the council’s march and programmes since its establishment within the framework of the national women empowerment strategy.
Al Moayed highlighted the achievements brought about for Bahraini women and the council’s support to them through free family guidance, legal and judicial advice as well as awareness and training programmes carried out in various fields. He also reviewed cooperation with the legislative branch to further consolidate women’s status.
The Sudanese delegation praised Bahrain’s women empowerment experience, lauding cooperation between SCW and the legislative branch to integrate women’s needs as a main component of the development programmes.
