South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se will visit Britain this week to hold the inaugural meeting of the two countries' strategic dialogue, the foreign ministry said Monday.
Yun will depart for London on Tuesday for a three-day trip during which he will attend the first South Korea-British Strategic Dialogue with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on Wednesday, according to the ministry.
Yun will discuss a range of issues including the current situations of the Korean Peninsula and the North East Asian region and improvement of bilateral ties as well as cooperation on the efforts to fight the Ebola virus.
The South Korean minister is also scheduled to deliver a keynote speech in a seminar on the security of the Korean Peninsula to be hosted by Chatham House, an international studies think tank, on Wednesday.
He also plans to attend a London ministerial-level meeting of donor countries to Afghanistan before returning on Friday, according to South Korea's News Agency (Yonhap).
