President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attends on Tuesday a celebration marking Police Day, where he will honor a number of families of police martyrs who fell while on duty in 2016 and address the nation on the occasion.
The president will preside over a meeting of the Supreme Council of Police at the police academy headquarters in Cairo and will lay a wreath on the Unknown Soldier Memorial before leaving for the celebration hall.
He will watch a documentary on the police achievements and challenges.
Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar will also give a speech on the security conditions in the country at the current phase.
The ceremony will be attended by parliament speaker Ali Abdel Aal, Prime Minister Sheirif Ismail, state senior officials and mediamen.
