Abdel Fattah El Sisi will witness on Tuesday a ceremony organized by Awqaf Ministry marking the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday (al Mouled) anniversary.
During the ceremony, Sisi will honor eight scholars from Egypt and the world who have been influential in the religious life through their thoughts and knowledge.
Sisi will deliver an address to the Islamic nation on the current issues, means of renewing the religious discourse by addressing the moderate values of the Islamic religion and rejecting violence and extremism.
Also, Grand Imam of Azhar Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayyeb will deliver an address on the role of Azhar in spreading moderation of the Islamic religion in Egypt and worldwide as well as combating extremist thoughts.
Minister of Awqaf Muhammad Mokhtar Gomaa will review the plan of the ministry in updating the Islamic dawaa (religious call) and renewing the religious discourse through coordination between Awqaf, Azhar and various ministries.
Pope Tawadros II of the Coptic Orthodox Church, ministers and top figures from Awqaf and Azhar will attend the ceremony.
