Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh stressed the importance of exchanging visits to boost parliamentary relations and avail of experiences in passing legislation and laws. He pointed out the Shura Council’s keenness to promote parliamentary diplomacy by participating in regional and international gatherings and organisations.
The Shura Council Chairman was speaking as he received a delegation from the Bahraini-Thai Friendship Committee headed by MP professor Chusak Limsakul, in the presence of Head of the accompanying Mission of Honour MP Abbas Al Madhi. He lauded strong bilateral relations thanks to the leaderships’ care, pointing out keenness of the Thai parliament on continuous cooperation with the legislative branch in Bahrain. He also emphasised the importance of cooperation between the legislative councils to counter terrorism which requires an international cooperation.
The Shura Council Chairman welcomed the Thai delegation, wishing them a good stay in Bahrain and more progress to bilateral parliamentary cooperation.
Prof. Chusak Limsakul thanked the Shura Council Chairman for the gracious welcome, commending strong bilateral ties and keenness of both countries’ leaderships to further cement them in all fields.
