Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will hold, on the sidelines of the international meeting on Syria slated for Friday in New York, bilateral meetings with number of ministers taking part in the event.
The Egyptian top diplomat will take part also in the meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in case of holding it.
About 17 countries, including Egypt, will participate in the international meeting held on the level of foreign ministers.
The meeting will take up finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis, putting an end to the five-year suffering of the Syrian people and the international efforts aiming at organizing a conference grouping the Syrian opposition powers and Damascus government.
Earlier today, Shoukry headed to New York to take part in the get-together which is the third of its kind after the meetings held in Vienna and Riyadh.
