Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum has joined the second batch of National Service recruits answering the call of duty to the nation, affirming that engaging in the military is a duty and an honour for all those who belong to this beloved country.
Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum expressed his delight at joining the National Service, and said the service is a medal of honour for Emiratis, and a sacred national duty towards the country which has spared no effort to add to the pride and stability of its people.
Sheikh Rashid also praised President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his wise leadership and insightful vision in implementing the National Military Service and Reserve Force for the defence of the homeland, and preparedness to preserve the security and stability of the country, which he said, is under careful follow-up of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Sheikh Rashid called for keeping the national spirit high and a sense of national responsibility, rooted in loyalty to the UAE and its wise leadership in carrying out the national responsibility of protecting the soil of the homeland and preserving its gains and achievements.
