President of HRH the Premier’s court Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa received this morning ambassador Francis Lorenzo chairman of South-South Network (SSN) and his accompanying delegation and reviewed the nature of SNN’s coverage of the economic situation and development in developing countries. During the meeting, Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the US-based network for the help extended by SSN to developing countries to make them attractive to investors by highlighting available investment opportunities in countries of the southern hemisphere. Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa cited the Kingdom of Bahrain’s sustainable development and liberal economic atmosphere which makes the Kingdom of Bahrain a unique regional financial and banking hub. The Premier court’s president expounded on the incentives and facilities provided by the government to potential investors, citing the country’s advanced telecommunications infrastructures. The Premier court’s president stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes all investments and has prepared strategic plans for diversification of the country's sources of income to maintain growth and sustainable development and provides optimum services to citizens in the fields of education, health housing, etc. On the other hand, SSN's chairman ambassador Francis Lorenzo praised the aspects of renaissance he saw in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the efforts being exerted in support of regional and international programs. He also commended the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain’s government which constitute an efficient instrument in supporting the millennium’s development goals and encouragement of programs aimed at achieving sustainable development. It is worth mentioning that South-South News Network operates with various United Nations organs in supporting the efforts of developing countries to achieve sustainable development and to realize the millennium’s development goals and document and reflect achievements all over the world.
