Saudi Ambassador, Dr. Abdulla bin Abdulmalik Al Alshaikh, has affirmed that relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain have been always close and are constantly evolving at all levels, thanks to the shared visions and kind care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his brother His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
In an interview with the eighth edition of «The Diplomatic Gazette», issued by t he Ministry of Foreign Affairs, marking Saudi Arabia’s 87th National Day, the envoy stressed that bilateral relations were based on shared destiny, unity, common goals, kinship and intermarriage that bring the people together, adding that they increase in strength day by day creating an exemplary model of distinctive relations that complete one another.
The Saudi envoy said that the Kingdom of Bahrain was witnessing development and advancement at all levels, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa and his Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
This has led the Kingdom of Bahrain to become a focus of attention for all. Bahrain is also a vital part of the Arabian Gulf and the Saudi citizens who visit Bahrain feel like they’re their second home. It is also attributable to
interconnectivity between the two populations and the cultural, religious and social bonds as well as the tourist and cultural attractions in Bahrain such as Arad Fort and Dilmun civilisation, he said.
“The Kingdom of Bahrain is my second home. It is the Pearl of the Gulf and has a long history and a special place in my heart,” he affirmed.
Regarding his most significant and important memories in Bahrain, he cited his meetings with his Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, along with visits of historic and tourist attractions.
Commenting on the Saudi National Day, he described it as an important historic event.
“It is a bright page filled with hard work on the path of boosting the nation, building unity and achievements under the leadership of the founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud and his righteous sons who followed suit, applying the rule of god under the teachings of Islam. I would like to pay tribute to the outstanding strong brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain. I would also like to congratulate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince as well as the ruling family and the Saudi people on this occasion,” he said.
