The 11th mass wedding was held last night in Madinat Zayed City for 38 couples, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, and in the presence of senior officials.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nayhan, who attended the wedding ceremony, praised President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for supporting mass weddings to help the citizens build stable families. He also praised all relevant efforts being made by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed.
The ceremony was organised by the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and was sponsored by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Group.
Others who attended the ceremony included H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of ADNOC Group; Owaidha Murshid Al Marar, Chairman of Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport; Mohammed Hamad Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary at the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region; Sultan bin Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Director of the Office of Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region; Mohamed Al Hammadi, Chief Executive Officer, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, as well as ADNOC senior officials, dignitaries and families of the newlyweds.
The newly-wed couples thanked the wise leadership for being with the nationals on all occasions to enhance social cohesion and the role of families in development.
