Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan inspected on Saturday a number of security sites and police stations to oversee the workflow and steps to secure various events. He also briefed on the readiness to secure religious occasions, including Ashoora season.
The Chief expressed thanks and appreciation of Interior Minister and his directives to provide the best services for all segments of society to reinforce community partnership to protect general safety. The Chief thanks governors for their dedication to hold coordination meetings and conduct field visits, as well as interact with the residents and NGOs.
He hailed the role of policemen and dedication to carry duties with sincerity, thanking those managing Ashoora season for keeping the occasion within its religious nature and overcome hinders to protect the security and general order.
He said that security presence at Ashoora marking sites aims to ensure traffic safety, stressing that the exploitation of the occasion in lawbreaking activities won’t be allowed through the law enforcement. He stressed that incitement gatherings or calls that could disturb security will be tackled within legal regulations.
At the end of the inspection tour, the Chief called upon all to carry their joint responsibility to back security and organizational efforts that aim to protect the national security. The Chief was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Public Security and Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training.
