At the Princess Basma Scout Camp in Dibeen, she distributed clothes, school supplies and sweets to 300 children. During her visit, the princess highlighted the importance of the goodwill campaign’s role in alleviating economic hardships for the underprivileged in cooperation with philanthropists. She stressed the need to improve the role of charitable societies in contributing to the eradication of poverty and unemployment, in addition to developing local communities. Launched in 1991 by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development, the National Goodwill Campaign has grown over the years to become synonymous with support for the poor and the marginalised. It supports the less fortunate throughout the year and ramps up its charity efforts during the holy month of Ramadan.
