Britain's Princess Charlotte -- the daughter of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton -- was christened as planned Sunday at St. Mary Magdalene's Church on Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham estate.
Charlotte, her big brother George and their parents live in a 10-bedroom home named Anmer Hall on the property. The princess was born May 2 in London.
William's mother, the late Princess Diana, was raised at Sandringham's Park House and was baptized in the same church in which her granddaughter was christened.
Shortly before Sunday's happy event, Kensington Palace tweeted photos of the heirloom gown the tiny royal would wear and the baptismal font where she would be blessed.
"Princess Charlotte will wear the Royal christening robe of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, made by The Queen's dressmaker," the palace posted.
"The Royal Christening Robe is a hand-made replica, commissioned by HM, of the robe made for Victoria, Princess Royal's christening in 1841," read another tweet. "The original Victorian lace and satin gown, worn at Royal christenings since 1841, has now been preserved. The Royal christening robe replica was first worn by The Queen's grandson, Viscount Severn and by all of her great grandchildren since."
Princess Charlotte's mother pushed her in an old-fashioned pram to the chapel. Mother and daughter were accompanied by Princes William and George.
The private service was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, and well-wishers were allowed to gather outside the church to see Charlotte and the other royals arrive and depart.
