Premier’s keenness on promoting charity work lauded

Honorary President of Bahrain Parents Care Society Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received the society’s Board of Directors chaired by Ahmed Al Banna who briefed him on the society’s plans and efforts to broaden the scope of its activities. He stressed the humanitarian values of philanthropic and voluntary work and the need to promote it, being the bulwark that protects the community from changes. He also listened to a briefing on the society’s preparations to organise Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Charity Work. He directed to issue a magazine highlighting the award’s activities and programmes, stressing keenness on its success. He also listened to an account on the society’s programmes in August concerning the family, the community as well as charity and humanitarian work.
Shaikh Khalifa directed the society Board of Directors to hold a celebration to honour a number of Bahraini Majlises’ owners for their outstanding role in cementing social cohesion, stressing support to the initiatives aimed at reviving those Majlises for the best interest of the community. He affirmed that philanthropy is a value that has been promoted by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and an approach adopted to serve the community and the nation under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
