Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas left here on Monday winding up one-day visit to Egypt where he held talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Talks covered humanitarian, economic and security conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories and proposed ideas to resume peace talks especially in light of Egypt's membership at the UN Security Council.
The Palestinian president's visit comes as part of consultations between the two sides on a set of Arab and international issues of common interest and ahead of the Arab Summit set for March 29 in Amman.
