Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riad al-Maliki left for Athens on Thursday for an official visit to Greece which is the current chairman of the European Union (EU) session which ends on June next. In a pre-departure statement, al maliki said he would have talks with his greek counterpart to brief him on the latest developments of the middle east peace process and the obstacles it faces due to the israeli government intransigent policies and its rejection to abide by the International Legitimacy resolutions . These resolutions, the palestinian FM noted call for the urgent halting of the Israeli settlement activities in the palestinian territories especially in the occupied city of Al Quds and its non-commitment to adhere to the two-state solution principle despite of the tireless international efforts being exerted to revive and reactivate the peace process for bringing about a just , comprehensive and durable peace and eventually end such a chronic conflict.
