The Ceppo Academy in Pistoia, Italy, awarded Moroccan poet Mohammed Bennis the 55th Ceppo Pistoia international literature award for his book "Il Mediterranio e la parola" and his collection "le Don du vide", both published in Italy. The same prize was given, in 2009, to Peruvian author Mario Vargas Llosa, winner of the 2010 Nobel Prize for Literature and to Spanish poet Antonio Carvajal Milena in 2010. Mohammed Bennis received the award at a ceremony, held recently in Pistoia's communal palace in the presence of the Mayor, members of the Academy, poets, critics, journalists and students. The Moroccan poet had already received in Italy Calopezzatti Mediterranean literature prize in 2006 and Feronia international literature award in 2007.
