Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, visited the "Proud Expressions" art show at Dubai Mall, held from 8th to 15th May.
The exhibition showcased works of art by renowned artists from the UAE, curated out of the 300 pieces submitted to "Proud Expressions" – which forms part of the nationwide "The UAE Remembers" campaign. A joint effort between the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office, MFAO, at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court and the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, the campaign seeks to express pride and gratitude for the UAE’s heroes.
Al Mazrui said that the sacrifices made by the UAE’s heroes to defend the country and its sovereignty, and to safeguard and maintain the prosperity achieved, are a source of pride and inspiration to all. It also reflects a great sense of patriotism, as well as a commitment to traditional values of the UAE passed down through generations.
The minister urged the youth to visit the exhibition and learn about the UAE’s heroes, their loyalty, courage, and the true meaning of sacrifice.
The roaming art exhibition is an ideal platform for community members to use art as a vehicle to praise the heroism, courage, and dedication of the brave Emirati heroes, who sacrificed themselves to safeguard the UAE’s security, peace, and prosperity. This includes artists, students, and the public.
Participants and the rest of the community can keep pace with the latest news and updates of the exhibition by following the initiative’s social media pages. They are invited to join the conversation and share their feelings of pride and gratitude using the hashtag #The_UAE_Remembers.
