Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab visited on Saturday the brigade of the Egyptian military engineers working with the UN peace-keeping forces in Côte d'Ivoire's capital Yamoussoukro.
Mahlab was accompanied by Côte d'Ivoire's Prime Minister.
"I bear to you the greetings of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the army's General Commander and Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi, members of the Egyptian government and the Egyptian people," Mahlab said addressing the Egyptian engineers.
Mahlab stressed that Egypt is "returning to Africa and restoring its position regionally and internationally".
"I am proud of you and so do all the Egyptians," the premier said.
"You must have followed up what happened in Egypt's economic conference in Sharm el Sheikh and how the world came to us to announce support for the Egyptian people and to assure that Egypt was on the right track," he concluded.
