Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality on Thursday inspected the progress of the Quran Park project in Dubai.
The park is being developed in an area of 64 hectares by the Municipality within the framework of its creative initiatives in the field of landscaping and increasing the green area in the Emirate.
The park will feature exhibits that explain the meaning behind many of the stories told in the Holy Quran and the scientific and medical benefits of plants mentioned in the book and how modern medicine depends heavily on them in the treatment as well as their environmental benefits.
Lootah was accompanied by Dawood Al Hajri, Assistant Director-General for Engineering and Planning Sector and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mutaiwei, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Community Sector and a number of department directors and other senior officials.
During the visit, he listened to an explanation by the specialists about the nature of the project and the stages planned by the Municipality to develop the park and add many types of trees and fruits that were included in the Holy Quran.
