The Amir of Kuwait His Highness Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and reviewed outstanding bilateral relations.
Kuwait Crown Prince HH Shaikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister HH Shaikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah were also present.
The Kuwaiti leader and HRH the Premier affirmed keenness on further strengthening joint ties, stressing the importance of benefiting from global shifts to consolidate regional economies and maintain security and stability.
HRH the Premier conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Kuwaiti leader, stressing keenness on bolstering longstanding historic relations.
The two leaders discussed the impact of regional and international issues, urging further coordination and cooperation to strengthen the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to withstand regional and international developments and challenges.
They stressed the importance of bolstering joint cooperation between the two countries to stave off attempts to subvert regional security and stability and expand cooperation.
They said that the region remains the target of subversive attempts to undermine its security and stability, urging more vigilance to stave off dangers.
HRH the Premier thanked the Kuwaiti leader , Government and people for their stances in support of Bahrain, hailing the warm welcome and genuine hospitality.
The Amir of Kuwait hosted an Iftar banquet in honur of HRH the Premier and the accompanying delegation. Kuwait Crown Prince, Prime Minister and senior officials attended.
