Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah will leave here on Thursday along with his accompanying delegation heading for Egypt.
He will attend the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal.
The participation of the Kuwaiti head of state came at an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Several world leaders and top-ranking officials are taking part in the inauguration ceremony of the legendary project that took only year to be implemented, which is almost one third of the initial estimated period of implementation.
The New Suez Canal is one of several mega and national projects that have been initiated by the current Egyptian government. These projects include also reclaiming four million acres of land and setting up a new administrative capital.
