His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, stressed that the patronage and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, May God Protect Him, to equestrian and endurance has contributed to the accomplishment of many international achievements which have strengthened Bahrain’s strong presence in this sport.

His Highness said: “I am proud with the Royal support given to Bahraini equestrian and endurance sport from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, May God Protect Him, which gave it the strength to confirm its presence at an international level, and through which many accomplishments were achieved and placed the Kingdom at a high position in this sport.” His Highness added that the support of His Majesty has contributed to the establishment of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Royal Windsor International Equestrian Festival and its continuation for the fifth consecutive year, which attracts the most prominent jockeys from all over the world to the city of Windsor, United Kingdom.
His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the distinguished efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, Captain of the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team, which have reflected in the development and advancement of this sport in capacity and pushed for excellence and achieving many successes in various international participations, which translate the vision and directives of HM The King, to continue the efforts in promoting this sport.
His Highness congratulated the United Arab Emirates jockeys for achieving the first three places in the 120 km race. His Highness congratulated Jafar Mirza, jockey of the Royal Endurance team, on the achieving the fifth place in the race after successfully covering the distance in 4:48:36 hours with a speed of 25 km. His Highness also congratulated Ali Al Subaie, jockey of the Royal Endurance team, for successfully achieving the first place in the 80 km distance race, which reflects the strong preparation of this jockey and his determination to achieve this result.
