His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today paid a visit to the headquarters of the command of the Malaysian Armed Forces, as part of his visit to sisterly Malaysia.
Upon arrival, along with Malaysian Defence Minister and Head of Mission of Honour, Hishammuddin Hussein, HM the King was welcomed by Chief of the Malaysian Army, General Raja Mohammad Affandi Raja Mohammad Noor, the commander of the Malaysian Army’s 10th Brigade (Para), the commander of the land forces and a number of senior commanders.
The national anthems of the two countries were played, and then HM King Hamad inspected the guard of honour.
The military parade, carried out by Special Forces in addition to the participation of artillery, paratroopers and infantry, included various skills, and showcased the combat ability and efficiency of the participants.
HM the King was briefed about the tasks carried out during the parade.
Then the commander of the 10th Para Brigade conferred on HM King Hamad the Maroon Beret of the National Special Operations Force (NSOF) and the Honorary Paratrooper Wings . The Army Chief and the Defence Minister presented HM the King commemorative gifts.

Afterwards, a Malaysian Army officer prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect HM the King, safeguard the two countries and bless them with ever-lasting security, ensure the success their efforts, as well protect the Islamic Nation from all threats and bless it with lasting security.
HM the King wrote the following statement in the VIP Guest Book:
"We express our deep pride in visiting the headquarters of the Malaysian Armed Forces and we highly appreciate the great efforts exerted in developing the armed forces and strengthening its power, which enabled sisterly Malaysia to be a strong supporter of security and stability in the region and a prominent and fundamental contributor to the Islamic Coalition to combat terrorism and to combat, regionally and internationally, violence, extremism and terrorism in all their forms.
We hope that our visit will contribute to enhancing all aspects of cooperation and to deepening relations between our two brotherly countries and peoples on all levels, especially in the crucial field of the military. May God protect Malaysia and its people from all misfortune and evil and bless them with lasting security and stability."
At the end of the military parade, a musical band played the national anthems of the two countries.
Senior commanders of the Malaysian Armed Forces bid farewell to HM the King.
