His Majesty King Abdullah II and Amir of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Tuesday held talks focusing on cooperation between the two countries and the latest developments in the region.
The two leaders stressed the need to further enhance Jordanian-Kuwaiti ties in various domains and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries on various regional issues, in order to serve common interests and pan-Arab solidarity.
They also discussed developments in the Middle East and ways to reach political solutions to current regional crises in order to restore security and stability.
His Majesty King Abdullah expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s support to Jordan and said it helped in implementing important projects in various vital sectors. He also referred to the assistance Kuwait extended to the Kingdom to help ease some of the burdens of the Syrian refugee crisis.
The King congratulated the Kuwaiti Amir on his country’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
