His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth, President of the Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation, directed the High Committee organising the fifth edition of the Khalid Bin Hamad for Youth Centres, to include and approve those clubs that are not under Bahrain Football Association in this edition of the league. The League is part of HH’s sporting and humanitarian initiatives under the slogan “#Meeting_of_Generations”. The event will be organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affair in collaboration with HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Centre. The draw event was held the day before yesterday and it has a league for people with disabilities for the second consecutive year and a league for girls for the first time.
His Highness stressed on the importance of allowing clubs and girls to participate in this league. He said that the league’s fifth edition coincides with the vision of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chaired by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, and the necessity in activating the role of the youth centres since it is considered to foster Bahraini youths and a place where the league gathers within the framework of supporting and strengthening programmes to their abilities.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder to launch the fifth edition of the league, stressing the prominent role of the representatives of the Ministry in the establishment of the league.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the active participation of the youth centres as this year’s league includes 36 youth centres from different governorates of the Kingdom, 9 national clubs, 8 people with disabilities team, and 6 girls teams. His Highness said that their large participation reflects their role in caring for and taking care of young people by engaging them in the pioneer programmes which work on refining and developing their various talents.

His Highness stressed that the support to youth members of youth centres and clubs comes from the belief in the importance of the role played by this group as creative energies and able to provide national teams in the futsal game, which is a key factor to serve the country in various sports events and this meeting carries national, sporting, and social goals.

The High Organizing Committee of the Futsal Khalid bin Hamad League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities, and Girls has approved the registration of 9 unregistered clubs in the current league, which are: Buri, Bani Jamra, Al Dair, Ma’ameer, Muqaba, Dar Kulaib, Saar, Eker who joined the along with the 36 youth centres, raising the number of participating teams to 45 in the league this year..

The draw of the Futsal Youth Centres, People with Disabilities, and Girls League in its fifth edition was held yesterday at the Bahrain Authority for Tourism and Exhibitions “Hall of 2030 Youth City”.

The draw event was held in a festival atmosphere in the presence of HE Dr. Shaikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa, the ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Affairs and Facilities, Mr. Omar A.Aziz Bukamal, Director of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Media Office and Mr. Nawar Abdullah Al Mutawa, Director of Youth Centres and Facilities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, a number of the Ministry and sport Associations officials, guests and members of the Bahraini media family along with a large number of Bahraini youth from both genders who were present at the activities of Youth City 2030.

The draw divided the teams into eight groups. The first one includes: Safreh, Muharraq, Al Bahair, Buri, Karzakan, and Abu Saiba. The second group includes: Damistan, Noaim, Hoora, and Gudaibiya. The third group includes: Salmabad, Zayed Town, Bani Jamra, Dar Kulaib, and Ras Rumman. The fourth group includes: Al Wusta, Jidhafs, Karrana, Sadad, Jurdab, and Al Dair. The fifth group includes: Shakhura, Al Qadsiah, South Sehla, Sanad, A’Ali, and Busaiteen. The sixth group includes: Sanabis, Isa Town, North Sehla, Al Daih, and Muqaba. The seventh group includes: Zallaq, Al Janub, Saar, Jasra, and Arad. The eighth group includes: Hamad Town, Bu Quwah, Eker, Hamala, and Ma’ameer.

As for the people with disabilities draw, the first group was: Bahraini Muhfizin, Tahadi Al i’aaqa, Al i’aaqa Alharakia, and Al Sum. The second group was: Special Olympics, Friendship for the Blind, Al i’aaqa Al Sameia, and Bahrain Deaf Society. As for the girls draw, the first group was: The Challenge, The Will, and The Hope. The second group was: The Giving, The Determination, and The Persistence.
