Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived here on Tuesday morning to discuss with Omani officials a number of bilateral, regional and international issues, according to IRNA News Agency.
He is scheduled to meet his Omani counterpart Youssef bin Alawi bin Abdullah.
Zarif is expected to sign a maritime demarcation agreement with Omani officials.
Zarif is scheduled to depart for Kuwait City on the second leg of his regional tour on Wednesday.
He will attend the 42nd annual meeting of foreign ministers of member states of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Kuwait City.
