Information Minister hails BIDEC’s outstanding

 Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, on the success of the Bahrain International Defence Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC 2017).

The minister also expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and to the Royal Guard Commander, and BIDEC’s High Organising Committee Chairman, Brigadier-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for the tremendous efforts they had exerted to ensure the success of the event, and confirm Bahrain’s pivotal role in the regional and global security and defence system, as well as its status as a meeting place for constructive dialogue and understanding among international commanders, whose countries are allied in promoting peace and combating extremism and terrorism.

The minister asserted that the outstanding success of BIDEC 2017 will strengthen the global confidence in Bahrain’s huge organisational potentials thanks to its loyal and creative cadres, advanced infrastructure, political and security stability, as well as economic and media progress, in light of HM the King’s leadership and patronage of the prestigious event.

Al-Romaihi stressed that success of the high-profile international event adds to HM the King’s pioneering initiatives aimed at strengthening the pillars of regional and global security and stability, as well as to consolidate the values of tolerance, peaceful co-existence and dialogue among civilisations, religions and cultures.

The minister added that the kingdom’s hosting of such a high-profile military exhibition, in the presence of an elite of regional and international military and diplomatic personalities crowns the sound policies of HM King Hamad and his government to promote the values of peace, tolerance and dialogue, and denounce division, fanaticism and hatred.

The prestigious event is a global vote of confidence in the outstanding level of the BDF, in terms of organisation and preparedness, he said.
