Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday gave his best wishes to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on his 65th birthday, in what is being seen as growing bonhomie between them.
"I wish the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Nawaz Sharif on his birthday and pray that he remains in wonderful health," Modi, who is currently on a surprise tour to Afghanistan, said on his personal twitter account.
Modi and Sharif had in the recent past met in Paris and held talks for more than 20 minutes on the sidelines of the climate summit there, after bilateral talks were called off in August this year.
The meeting of the two prime ministers had paved the way for National Security Advisor-level talks in Bangkok, followed by Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's visit to Islamabad.
The Indian prime minister is also expected to visit Pakistan sometime next year, though there has been no official confirmation about it yet.
