Lower House Speaker, Atif Tarawneh, Sunday discussed with President of the Judicial Council, Mohammad Ghazo, cooperation ties between the legislature and the judiciary.
During the meeting, Tarawneh said that in its upcoming extraordinary session, the house will start debating legislation related to the outputs of the Royal Committee for Developing the Judiciary and Enhancing the Rule of Law.
The legislation is of great importance, he said, adding that the house had been open to the views and suggestions of experts in this field in order to pass the laws in “a modern fashion”.
Ghazo stressed that the Judicial Council is interested in forging close cooperation with the Lower House, noting that the legislation before the house will positively affect the judiciary.
