His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today a gift from Her Majesty Elizabeth II, a three-year-old Arabian horse of Bahraini breed produced by the stables of the British Queen and named Hamdani Ra’ad.
HM the King expressed thanks and appreciation to HM Queen Elizabeth II for the gift which reflects her keenness and interest in the Arabian Bahraini horses that are characterised by their beauty and purity.
HM King Hamad stressed that the gift mirrors the deep-rooted historic relations between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, affirming the glorious heritage and cultural history both countries have. He also expressed appreciation of the solid historic relations between the royal families of the two friendly countries.
The gift was presented in the presence of the British ambassador to Bahrain and his wife as well as a number of guests.
HM the King and the guests watched a show of pure Arabian Bahraini horses and Arabian horses from the royal stables which are characterised by their beauty and quality.
