HH Shaikh Nasser pays tribute to Bahrain spectators

Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has stressed the crucial role played by sports fans in the qualification of the Bahrain National Football team for the semi-finals of the 23rd Gulf Cup, currently hosted by Kuwait.

He affirmed that the presence of Bahraini spectators was a source of strength for the players during their last group stage match in which they managed to book their semi-final spot.

HH Shaikh Nasser added that the national team was also supported by football fans in Bahrain, who, he said, was clear in the celebrations that prevailed across the country following the victory.

HH Shaikh Nasser asserted that the loyal Bahraini spectators are always keen to stand with the national team to encourage the players, stressing that the next match will be massively attended by Bahraini spectators to secure a positive result and qualify for the final match.

We are keen to support the team fully in the Gulf Cup, and we will stand by the players in order to achieve outstanding results in the tournament. We will make initiatives that contribute to increasing the national team’s chances for winning the title, including the transportation of Bahraini spectators to Kuwait in recognition of the key role they have played in the team’s results, and given the importance of their presence during the match, HH Shaikh Nasser said,
