H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, today received, at Rumailah Palace, the participants of the 7th Gulf Intelligence Energy Markets Forum, led by Jaber Al Luaibi, Oil Minister of Iraq, and Dr. Mattar Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Energy.
Sheikh Hamad welcomed the Forum’s participants and wished them success while highlighting the importance of their opinions on all issues related to trade in the energy sector and how to develop this trade between countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The Forum will generate outcomes that will develop international energy trends, help overcome the challenges faced by the energy sector, and strengthen the ties between the new silk road countries, he added.
He also called on the Forum’s participants to review Fujairah’s leading experience as one of the major international oil storage platforms that provides fuel for ships while stressing that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has established laws and procedures to promote its position as a major player in this area, which provides an attractive investment environment to support future projects.
The meeting was also attended by Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Emiri Court, and Captain Moussa Mourad, Director of the Fujairah Maritime Port, as well as several other officials.
