Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Tuesday with German Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Muller on the sidelines of his current visit to Germany.
Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said the meeting tackled ways of boosting economic relations between the two countries, as well as the latest developments in the Mideast region.
Germany is ready to increase its economic support for Egypt, especially in the fields of power and vocational training, Muller said.
Shoukry thanked Germany for its development projects in Egypt, especially the power projects established by the German Siemens AG company.
He briefed the German official on the latest developments in Egypt following the last step of Egypt's roadmap, namely the election of parliament.
