Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker will lead a high-profile delegation on a visit to Moscow on Sunday for talks on the Egyptian peaceful nuclear program to generate power.
The visit is the first of its kind since the signing of an agreement with Moscow in November to carry out the program.
They will mull the drafts of final documents to be inked in the coming period between Egypt's Nuclear Power Plants Authority and Russia's Rosatom.
Shaker said the operation of first two units of the planned nuclear power plant is scheduled in 2024.
The third and the fourth units will operate in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
The plant belongs to the third generation of reactors.
