Egypt's Mufti Dr Shawki Allam will attend an annual conferencefor developing Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) science, to be held in Oman on Saturday. The four-day conference is organized by the Omani Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs and is to be attended by scientists and intellectuals from Egypt, Oman and other Arab and Muslim countries. The conference provides an opportunity for reviewing the fiqh of coexistence with the other in Islamic doctrines and contemporary experience in this respect. It will also probe Sharia (Islamic law) in Arab and Islamic constitutions and its link to citizenship and Islam and the establishment of a civil society.
