Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry concluded his one-day visit to Hungary Thursday night, ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said on Friday.

Shoukry's visit to Hungary is the second leg of his European tour of Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

During his stay, the Egyptian top diplomat signed a tourism cooperation agreement, according to Abdel Aati.

According to the tourism deal, Egypt and Hungary could operate direct flights between Hungary and Egypt's Hurghada city, Abdel Aati added.

A cultural cooperation accord has also been concluded between the two sides, the spokesman said.

Acting upon the cultural deal, Hungary would provide annually 100 scholarships for Egyptian students in various scientific fields, Abdel Aati underscored.

Also, Shoukry agreed with Hungarian officials to hold a meeting of the joint economic committee at the beginning of next summer.

The Hungarian officials handed Shoukry an official invitation to President Abdel Fattah al Sisi to visit Hungary.

Furthermore, the Egyptian foreign minister agreed with Hungarian officials to boost economic ties and foster cooperation in fighting terror, Abdel Aati highlighted.
