Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail took part on Saturday in the major morning session of the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit, under South African President Jacob Zuma.
Leaders of participating countries delivered speeches on the importance of African cooperation to serve the interests of the continent.
They also pressed for cooperation with China in the different fields as part of a three-year agreement to that effect.
Sherif is expected to deliver Egypt's speech during the session that will be chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping later today.
The premier will focus on the importance of Africa-China cooperation based on common interests.
He will also urge Beijing to contribute to development projects in the continent.
Sherif will also shed light on efforts exerted by Egypt to create an investment-friendly climate.
