Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Tuesday cast his ballot in the runoff of the second phase of parliamentary elections, which takes place in 13 governorates, including Cairo.
He voted in the polling station of a school in Heliopolis in eastern Cairo.
He voiced his optimism that the runoff will see high turnout, pointing out that the vote was going on smoothly.
The second round of parliamentary elections covers the governorates of Cairo, Qalioubia, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr el Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.
