The committee organizing the Arab Clubs Basketball Championship gears up for Egypt's hosting of the 22nd round of the championship on December 30 through January 8.
The championship, sponsored by Emirates Airline, will be held at Cairo International Stadium.
Teams from 11 states; namely Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Libya, UAE, Kuwait, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Saudi Arabia will take part in the event alongside a team from another country to be announced later.
A press conference will be held to announce the details of the championship on Tuesday in the presence of the Ministers of Youth and Tourism; Khaled Abdel Aziz and Yehia Rashed respectively, and Egyptian Basketball Federation Head Magdy Abu Ferikha.
Head of the UAE Basketball Association and the Arab Basketball Union Ismail al Gergawi to is due in Egypt on Sunday to take part in the press conference.
The deputy head of the committee organizing the championship Awad Sami said all details concerning the chamionship would be announced in the coming few days.
