A Filipino bound for the Middle East almost became a clueless 'drug mule' when he discovered that his bags contained drugs that did not belong to him.
According to a local report from GMA News, two men have been arrested in connection with the case.
The two suspects allegedly have connections to drug syndicates in the area of Bulacan in the Philippines. The duo was identified as Alex Bamba and a man named Patricio.
The Filipino reported the discovery to local police after he saw that the bag of chips being sent to him by the suspects contained illegal substances. The chips which contained drugs could have made its way to the Middle East had it not been for the alert OFW.
The two suspects have denied the claims, saying that they did not know that the bags of chips contained illegal drugs.
